"Dan,
"It is a very good fit. I'm sure if you
had my bike you could have made a slit for the mirror to slide in to, however,
I think this design will have the flexibility to let it fit several different
aluminum hand guards plus there is plenty of room for even larger plastic
shields. I like the extra velcro in the mirror area ..."I also like the plastic in the frontal area...
It does not make it work any better, it just helps
it hold it's form for better looks..........I'm thinking about looks and
I ride a KLR!!!!!"
"Thanks for working with me on this and if there
are any other angles or measurements that you would like pics of just let me
know. I plan on having these on my web site before the end of the weekend with
a STRONG recommendation to go this route instead of the heated grips for the
KLR. I still have trouble believing I can ride in 30 deg f temps with my
vented summer gloves."

Just wanted to let you guys know these things exceed my expectations! I was
riding around in freezing weather with summer gloves on. These things work
where a pair of expensive, bulky winter gloves had failed. I've already had a
couple people ask me about them, and it occurrs to me if you want to sell even
more of them, embroider your website URL on them somewhere. I've seen people
check them out while I'm parked.
Ciao, Chris Hoppe
Dan,
Just wanted you to know that the hippo hands arrived at my front door this
afternoon. They are exactly what I had hoped they would be. I've all ready put
them on the Wing and not only do they look great they fit perfectly. Haven't
had a chance to actually ride with them but I can tell that I'll probably be
able to go back to summer weight gauntlets when I ride. I much prefer a
lighter glove to my heavy winter ones. I'll continue to carry my winter gloves
and my electric liners just in case but I'm of the opinion that they'll never
get used.
Thanks so very much for a very fine product that's also fairly priced.
Sincerely,

Russell Smith, on Jan 6 2010:
I got these just before Christmas
(what a present!!!), and used them (on a KTM530 EXCr) on a cool, foggy
day (about 38 degrees), to ride through our local OHV Park (Gene Chappie
OHV, near Redding, CA).
Before these, I would be wearing my
thick Ski gloves, and my finger tips would still be numb after the
ride... (As someone said to me before, "wearing thick ski gloves
while riding is like trying to grip the business end of a baseball
bat.")
With these Dual-Sport Hippo Hands,
there were times that my hands were beginning to sweat, even while just
wearing my summer MX gloves!
I also ride my KTM to work and back
every day (swap out my knobbies for Motard Rims/tires during the week),
and my hands have been toasty warm, even when other parts are freezing!
(neck, feet, knees, etc.
My only suggestion for a change:
Since these are so "easy on/easy off", I take them into
my office at work, but I would really like to keep them on the bike
during this time. I thought maybe you could include a metal grommet
ring (1/4 inch?) on the lower-inside portion of the Hippo Hand that
a locking cable could pass through on each Muff, to lock them to the
handlebars...
(Where do I send pictures of these on
mu bike?)
