PLEASE NOTE: Although we are aware that it may cost us some sales, we need to point out to our customers BEFORE they order, that if no significant wind protection exists on the bike, blowback against the levers is a strong possibility; the need for some sort of metal brackets or small inexpensive brush guards should be considered when purchasing Hippo Hands, in order to prevent this from happening. In any case, we suggest that you try them on, and if there's an issue with blowback, you obtain simple, small brush guards that clamp quickly to the handlebars, available on the Internet for around $40 or less a pair.

"Hippo Hands" Muffs Description:

The exterior of the "muffs" is made out of heavy weight polyurethane-coated Cordura-like black nylon material, for water repellency. The interior consists of heavy weight black polyester arctic fleece for warmth, plus a plastic stiffener used in between the two layers, to help the muffs retain their shape, and to allow for rapid insertion of the arm while riding the bike. With this combination of materials, we have achieved a fairly high degree of water repellency, wind protection, and decent appearance.

 The reason Hippo Hands work well, is that they create a zone of quiet air around your hands, therefore preventing unnecessary loss of precious heat in cold weather. Most Hippo Hands users report amazing results, even with lighter weight gloves, at temperatures that previously required the heaviest winter gloves available, to be able to ride for any length of time. You'll forget to turn on your electric grips, unless you're riding in sub-freezing temperatures!!!

Some Harley Davidson motorcycles have uniquely placed turn signals located on the handlebars, as well as throttle cables that come out at 90 degrees' angle to the handlebar, which necessitated additional design features on their Hippo Hands.

We don't make such claims as "Police Approved", which other competitors make in their websites, but we have sold them individually to many Police Officers across the country, mostly from Oregon and Washington State, so you're bound to see them on many motorbikes in the West Coast.

Shipping: Expedited (two weeks) is $17 US for one pair, or $21 US for two pairs ordered together and shipped to the same address. Express Post (under a week) is additional $12 US. We don't profit on shipping charges, but keep in mind we are shipping from Canada. It there's a significant difference upon shipping, we're refund the difference (more than a dollar or two).

 

Pictures are of an R1200C, muffs for F650 and K1200RS are identical, except for mirror hole location.

 

 

Some of the pictures shown here are of a BMW R1200C, R1150GS and some are of Harleys, but our Hippo Hands for many other bike makes and models are similar in general appearance, except for specific dimensions such as width, height, and mirror hole location.
